I was still in a state of daze...somehow I couldn't believe that I'm going to my dreamland, my paradise – Brazil. From my childhood, I have always been a Brazilian fan of Indian origin...a trait that I inherited from my Dad, a legacy that I have passed onto my nephews and nieces...

I remember I was so obsessed with Peles and Garinchas, that I used to stand hours under the blazing sun only to tan my complexion to get the looks of my Brazilian heroes. I grew with many additions and subtractions of dreams and wishes but my love for Brazil only increased with every passing day. So when I won the to and fro tickets to Rio De Janeiro in a lottery, there were no second thoughts....Rio! Here I come!!!

However, soon the good feelings passed out and I discovered that the only things I have are the tickets and Passport. Neither I have any idea about the country, no plans, no place to stay......I knew at once that if I go there like this I'll be kicked around like a Futebol ( in their language) instead of watching the soccer wizards in their den. A different kind of Brazilian fever ( not a good one, though) started gripping me when my friend Rimon asked me to check the http://www.mapsofworld.com/

I won't say that I have not heard of that site before but never imagined that it will appear like a Ronaldo and win the World Cup for me. Referring http://www.mapsofworld.com, I got practically all the information that was needed and even more. Starting from details of the airport, the hotels, the fares, the transportation within the city, the tourists spots..whew! It was like I'm already in Rio,,sitting here in Kolkata!
